Application performance monitoring is an important aspect of any video handling system such as newsrooms, video distribution, and digital cinema.

MTDSystems network monitoring software uses SNMP, WMI, manufacturers logs, and a variety of means to get to the actual inner workings of each software based device in your system. The information is collected in a device page where you can go and see all of this information in a concise view.

As application performance is tracked, the data is trended and checked to see if it is within normal operating values. Any problems are sent to our alerting system and directed to the personel or groups that you specify. Alerting and monitroing can be configured in a very granular way so that your application performance is monitored for the things that you know are important. Perhaps the device has a problem with a particular process within it using too much memory. The overall memory use of the device might appear normal but the particular process goes out of it's normal constraints. You can easily have an alert for this.
