The Next Level Of Reliability

Imagine going to each device on your network and checking media content, potentially thousands of lines of log files, connectivity, processor use, memory use, and general system health every few minutes. That is the function of the MTD System.  Data is displayed in an intuitive, functional view of the system with smart logging and smart alerts. Data from each part is evaluated in relation to the whole. The bottom line is early alerting to conditions and precursors that cause on-air disruption or loss allowing problems to be avoided or mitigated -- it is network monitoring/network management at it's finest.

There is both an immediate and long term payback with such a tightly integrated network monitoring scheme and overall system reliability improves. This is a scenario that plays out over and over again.

Participation

Know how your system is doing from anywhere in the world! MTD Systems network monitoring uses HTML web pages to present information. No special viewing applications are required. All system views, trend data, log files, etc are available all the time anywhere you can get web access. MTD Systems monitoring is manufacturer independent. We have no allegiances to any single manufacturer. Vendor-specific monitoring solutions are limited in their ability to monitor competing brands on your network and place a low priority in creating interfaces to them. They also have hidden critical data from the user to make their products look better.

Collection

Network monitoring that uses SNMP only, captures only a small portion of the system data. MTD Systems has created a rich set of interface modules to gather SNMP , TRAP (with automatic MIB translation), OS log, Event logs, application logs, Syslogs, Telnet, SSH, HTML, RS232, RS422, RS485, GPI, VDCP, MOS, Sony VTR and ISR, Odetics, Profile, and many other sources of information. Operating systems can be Linux, Windows, Solaris, HPUX, and others. These data elements are combined into a homogeneous Monitoring, Alerting, and Problem tracking system. Users view multiple, user-defined displays to see all critical elements of their facility presented in a clear, understandable, graphical presentation. The network alert diagram can be created from a JPEG, BMP, GIF, URL, AutoCAD, or many other formats. User defined elements on the image can be ‘activated’ to present different alert levels for portions of the device or the entire object.
